~Medieval times were hard to live in.~
Medieval times were just as dark and miserable as you could possibly imagine. For all but the luckiest (or to say if you born into a wealthy/royal family) during these dark, disease-ridden, and trying times, it was a never-ending cycle. Up at dawn to work until just before the sunset, make a miserly meal of grain gruel, maybe some hard bread, and seldomly, a little bit of rancid meat. That is unless you were lucky enough to poach off of your lord (the person who owned the land you worked on) and catch a rabbit and not get caught. If you got caught the penalty for stealing was usually swift and brutal. Read some of the facts of medieval life below. Click the back button on your browser to return to this site.
